Mr. O’Rourke is originally from River Forest, Illinois and attended St. Luke grammar school and Fenwick High School. He holds a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, a Master of Business Administration degree and a Type 75 Educational Administration Certificate from Dominican University. Professionally, he worked in several different positions in business before realizing that teaching was his calling. He taught and served as principal at Catholic schools in Chicago for fifteen years, after which time he went to Merida, Mexico with his wife and four children where he served for three years as middle school principal at an international school. He has been principal at Gesu since 2021 and is committed to the continued growth of the school as well as to the faith formation of its students. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children and playing an occasional game of chess. He is honored to serve the Gesu community.
