Born and raised in Detroit. Mr. Edwards is a proud graduate of Gesu Catholic School, class of 1990, and was baptized, received his first communion, and confirmed here at Gesu. At Gesu, he was also an athlete playing baseball and running track. He went to St. Martin De Porres High in Detroit and received a track scholarship to Siena Heights University earning WHAC Conference awards. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sculpture and Woodwork. He has worked at Gesu since 2023. Prior to coming to Gesu, he worked for fifteen years as an assistant manager with maintenance duties at Glenco Apartments in Detroit. He has also worked on many projects in construction, home improvement, and artwork. His main objective at Gesu is to help keep daily operations at the church and school running smoothly, keeping the campus area clean and safe, and helping staff members, parishioners and students when needed. During his spare time, he enjoys drawing, cleaning, watching movies, and rooting for the Detroit Lions.
