Born and raised in Detroit, Mr. Christopher Kendall was a part of the St. Gregory the Great faith community where he was deeply involved in ministry throughout his youth. His spiritual and musical journey took root early while in the children’s choir, then grew over time to include multiple instruments and ministries. He continued ministry involvement and learning with different instruments during his time at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School, which ultimately led him to pursue a degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Michigan.

Mr. Kendall has served as a Music Minister in multiple churches of various denominations; these experiences broadened his perspective and deepened his faith. In 2019, God called him back to the Catholic community when he was appointed Music Minister at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. It was there that his love for evangelization, liturgical music, and finding the balance of reverence and joy in worship truly flourished. Mr. Kendall also recently served as the Music Teacher at Loyola High School in Detroit, where he inspired young men to find their voices through music and faith. His commitment to nurturing both musical excellence and spiritual growth is at the heart of his ministry.

Mr. Kendall strives to bring energy, creativity, and his dedication for collaboration to the Gesu church and school community. He seeks to provide an avenue to spiritual growth and to create music that uplifts, inspires, and draws people closer to God. He has been with Gesu since 2025.
