Christian Service Commission
Gesu's Christian Commission is interested in building community through social action. It is the umbrella commission for the following parish committees that parishioners are invited to join:
- Beloved Community Committee
- Book Club
- Gloryland Community Garden
- Gloryland Corporation
- Green Team
- Peace and Justice Committee
- Christian Service Committee
- Ministry to the Sick
- St. Vincent De Paul
- Circle of Support
- NEW Mental Health
- NEW Quality of Life
The Christian Service Commission’s purpose is to empower Gesu parishioners to fulfill the Church’s mission of love, justice, freedom, and peace by communally responding to societal and individual needs. To that end, the Commission creates and/or promotes programs designed to address human needs. The commission exists as a model and resource of Catholic social teaching to enable the parish community to put the social teaching of the Church into action.
